1. Life sinks or soars to the beat of our thoughts

Hi!!  Welcome to my blog. My name is Rael Kalley and I have spent most of the past 30 years trying to learn what makes us tick, why we are how we are and why we do what we do.

During that time I have also started seven businesses, some that have been stunningly successful and others that have been spectacular crashes.

In all of these the one constant has always been me. I have been the source of inspiration that created each new venture, the beneficiary of those that reached lofty heights, and the guy behind the wheel steering those that failed straight into the ground.

As I have examined all of these experiences I’ve come to understand one shocking truth – a truth I have known for a long time and one that has only recently entered my comprehension at the DNA level where I have consciously come embrace this truth every waking moment.

And that truth is this: every victory I experienced, every disappointment I endured, every exciting event, every frustration, every completed sale, every rejection, every “we are doing great”, every “we’re in deep caca now” first took place inside my head before taking place in my outer experience.

YIKES!!! What happens in my head happens in my life.

I knew this. I heard this years ago. Yes I’ve read all the books. Yes I know this stuff cold, so why is it that if I have known this all these years, I still allow the things I don’t want to happen in my head?

One day it hit me.  I finally realized the problem is that I only KNEW this stuff and I now understand that knowledge is just data that floats around in our heads to be remembered and forgotten as life progresses – or until we apply it in our lives.

And if this is true for me it’s true for you.

So the first step to changing the results in our lives is to begin by changing the thoughts in our heads. We really have to focus intently on what we allow to happen in my heads.

I once heard that “Knowledge is Power”. Hardly! What we know doesn’t produce any results in our lives. It’s what we do with what we know that shapes results.

To put knowledge to work for us requires effort and there doesn’t seem to be a lot of info out there to help us convert that knowledge into meaningful, positive usefulness.

So my blog is going to be about what I’ve learned over these years. I hope you will join me on this journey by sharing this with your friends and responding with your thoughts. Together our collective knowledge of US will lead each of us to a more inspired life.

Till we read again.

Rael
